





If you believe the United States Senate must pass legislation to include the workforce in their new Coronavirus allocations being negotiated, this ACTION ALERT is important for you to participate in!
This legislation must itemize ALL people with disabilities and their families, as well as, the supports they have needed to assist them through this crisis.
The House of Representatives passed the HEROES Act in May and yesterday the Senate started their negotiations on this.
It is important that they hear what this bill would mean to our industry, supports, individuals and their families living in the community.

Medicaid funding for programs like United Needs and Abilities, Inc. services people in the community and are of utmost important during times like these, Therefore they must remain part of the package and be covered by protecting the HCBS waivers.
We must have access to and support funding for PPEs for all those who provide services in the community.
All dependents must be part of the economic impact payments and another round is important in protecting and keeping those living in the community, during these times, viable and not become part of the economic disadvantages.
All families with disabled loved ones are dealing with this crisis. Legislation must take into consideration the family members that are caregivers of their adult loved ones with disabilities; therefore, paid leave must be part of the package for all family members who are caregivers.
